I can be a forgetful nutball, especially if I'm excited. Yesterday, seeing all those cool people and dogs, I forgot to tell you how my post-op evaluation went: My surgeon is pleased with my progress!

My gait and foot placement could be better, but I'm not gonna dwell on it. Dr. G (Russ Gurevitch DVM) told me the best therapy for me now is to WALK. I can go around the house and yard. But I must be careful. I ask dog-ma to stay right with me in case I need help and so I don't forget my surgeon's orders: No jumping, and no trying to run around and play right now.

In 2 weeks I see Dr. G again. That'll be one month post-op. I bet I'll be allowed to do more stuff. I'm singing "I'm on my way . . . !"

You know, deSoL's title-track song "On My Way." Albie Monterrosa is the lead vocalist and he says the song "started as a chant, and as a peoples spiritual hymn. . . . 'On My Way' represents movement from one place to another. . . ." Dog-ma's crazy about deSoL. She even got to talk to Albie when the band was here at KRSH radio.

Woof, I got movement from one place to another!

Dog-ma says Harmony Festival 2008 ended on June 8th with a kickin' performance by the passionate world-class songstress Angelique Kidjo.

If that weren't Harmonious enough, the all-time great songwriter/singer Paula Cole performed at the festival on June 7th.

Woof! Congrats on 30 years of Harmony! Special TX WOOF to Debra Giusti, festival founder! Big TX WOOFS to Randi Rembe, exhibit management, and Betty Biodiesel, announcer extraordinaire, who made dog-ma's announcement asking people not to leave dogs in cars 'cuz it's too hot.

Thanks to all music lovers who protect the little ears of dogs, children, and all babies by keeping them away from big concert speakers and plugging their ears at loud events.

Thanks to all Harmonians like Ms. Angelique Kidjo (above) who help make the world a better place for dogs, children, and all other living things!

This weekend, we're working on reinforcing a positive attitude. Also known as a pawsitive attitude. My dog-ma just came back from spending a few hours at the first day of the one-and-only Harmony Festival (having its 30th anniversary). Dog-ma was so pawsitive that she gave me some of that harmony stuff.

Can you believe dog-ma met a guy named Zach who'd had a back injury at L3 like me? He's so nice, a friend of Randi's, dog-ma said. Anyway, Zach's just fine even though he'd broken his back. It's encouraging for me to hear that he has no residual problem. How amazing the way the body heals.

I wish I could've gone to Harmony with dog-ma to see the awesome Jackie Greene. His music is, well, like, perfect. Dog-ma says he's more like Dylan than Dylan ever figured out how to be. Woof? I heard a song of Greene's that should be our mantra around here these days. Check out "Don't Let the Devil Take Your Mind." And see how Jackie Greene was vlogged at Harmony 2008 and uploaded to YouTube.
